rentalpoint is a vehicle rental based at Centerpoint, Ko phangan, Surat Thani, 84280 TH. You can reach us at 66656380855 or on WhatsApp at the same number. This policy explains how we handle personal data when you visit rentalpoint.org/rentals/centerpointrental and when you rent a vehicle from us.

When you send a booking request through the form on rentalpoint.org/rentals/centerpointrental, we receive your name, how to contact you (a phone number, or that you prefer WhatsApp or Telegram), and the vehicle and dates you chose. The request goes straight into our booking system, and we use it to confirm and arrange your rental.

If you message us on WhatsApp, Telegram or another messenger, the conversation passes through that service under its own privacy policy, and it may be kept in our booking system so that our staff can answer it.

The site keeps your language and colour theme in cookies on your device. Visits are counted by Vercel Web Analytics, which doesn't use cookies. There are no advertising trackers.

When you rent from us, our staff record your name, contact details, rental dates, a copy of your passport and/or visa and, where needed, your driving licence in our booking system — to know who has the vehicle and to settle any damage, loss or accident. This is standard practice for vehicle rental in Thailand.

If you sign the rental agreement electronically — at our counter or through a check-in link we send you — the system records when and where it was signed: the time, your IP address, your browser and the location of the device you sign on. That is what makes an electronic signature verifiable.

A passport photo may be read automatically to save time: the image is sent to OpenAI's text-recognition service, which returns the passport details to us. When our staff ask the system to suggest a reply in a chat, the latest messages of that chat (text only) go through the same service.

All of this is kept in RentalPoint, the online system we use to run bookings; its servers are run by Vercel and Neon. The account is password-protected and used by rentalpoint staff. We never sell your data and don't share it with anyone else, except when the law requires it (for example, after an accident, a theft or at a police request).

We keep your rental record for as long as needed to resolve the rental itself (including any repair or insurance claim) and to meet our own record-keeping obligations. If you'd like your record deleted sooner, contact us and we'll remove it unless we're required to keep it for an open claim or legal reason.

As we operate in Thailand, data handling is governed by Thailand's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA). If you are located in the EU or the UK, you also have rights under the GDPR. You can ask us at any time to access, correct or delete the data we hold about you by messaging us on WhatsApp or calling 66656380855.

We may update this policy if how we collect or use data changes. The "last updated" date above always reflects the current version.
